Video game hacking is a touchy subject, so it is important for the wiki to maintain a licit and welcoming environment for everyone. As such, the following policies have been imposed. The rules here apply to every place on this wiki. In general, readers and editors are expected to act in good faith, and work towards building a wiki that helps better understand the inner workings of the Pikmin games, be it for the purpose of education, entertainment, or custom content creation.

Destructive edits[edit]

  • Spam: any kind of off-topic, unrelated self-promoting, and unruly behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Vandalism: problematic behavior such as excessive deletion/creation of pages, uploading unnecessary files, profanity, and controversial topics are not welcome here.
  • Harassment: this wiki is meant to be a safe place. Doxxing, slander, and bullying is under zero tolerance and will warrant a ban from contributing to the wiki.

Questionable content[edit]

  • Copyrighted material: music, images, videos, and other forms of media, must be properly attributed. Most of what is represented on this wiki is regarded as fair use. This means files uploaded here must follow regulations appropriate by law. In order to help ensure this, users are not to upload content that doesn't constitute as fair use. Ideally, the content should only help the understanding of a technical Pikmin subject and nothing else.
  • Hacks and mods: the Pikmin Technical Knowledge Base is not a place for contributors to advertise their personal projects. Contributors looking to showcase their hacks can do so at Pikmin Fanon, in accordance to their regulations. Tools that have been created may be allowed to be posted on the wiki as long as they hold good use and reliability.
  • Protection of the IP: nothing on the wiki is to cause harm to the Pikmin intellectual property in any form. Examples include information that can help readers obtain illegal copies of games, tamper negatively with the experience of other players when unwarranted, or damage the look or sales of the intellectual property.
