The Pikmin Technical Knowledge Base's privacy policy details how user data is stored. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Pikmin Technical Knowledge Base. To ask questions, or request to have your data removed, please leave a message in an administrator's talk page.

Account[edit]

When a user creates an account in The Pikmin Technical Knowledge Base, the wiki saves the user-provided information into its database. This is so that the system may identify the user when they make edits, provide them with a custom experience as per their preferences, and otherwise allow them to engage in standard wiki activity. This data will never be shared with third parties unless necessary by law, and does not get used for any purposes outside of standard wiki functionalities.

A registered user's session data gets stored in cookies, so they can keep their session logged in. Registered accounts cannot be deleted.

Edits[edit]

When editing the wiki anonymously, the user's IP address is saved onto the article's history. If editing while logged in, the user's account name is registered instead. Any edits made are released to the world under the Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license.

Sensitive data[edit]

The Pikmin Technical Knowledge Base cannot be held responsible for personal or sensitive data shared, or edited onto articles, by a user. That said, staff will attempt to revert such information if it is deemed unwarranted. The same goes for any edits deemed to violate the wiki's general policies.
