FinModelUtility is a model viewer and a collection of tools for extracting models from games en-masse.
The program is favorable in Pikmin 2 modding not for the main tool itself, but the bmd2fbx tool along with a batch (.bat) file that lets you convert a single BMD model to a Blender compatible FBX file with a simple drag and drop.
When you want to convert the modified FBX back into a BMD, you can use one of SuperBMD's batch files such as the cool/drag&drop one. More information about custom models can be found here.
